Being a Personal Care Aide (PCA) is a rewarding career. Start your career with Parent Care. Parent Care’s Personal Care Aide Training Program will prepare you to provide exceptional care to individuals in need. You will learn valuable skills including:
Personal Care Services:
Household Tasks:
- Preparing and serving meals, including special dietary needs.
- Performing light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning and laundry.
- Shopping for groceries and other essential items.
Health-Related Tasks (Under RN Supervision):
- Reminding clients to take prescribed medications.
- Observing and reporting changes in the client’s condition or environment.
- Assisting with non-sterile dressing changes.
- Measuring and recording basic vital signs (if trained to do so).
Companionship and Support:
- Providing emotional support to clients.
- Accompanying clients to appointments or errands.
- Engaging clients in recreational activities or conversation.
Other Duties as Permitted by the Care Plan:
- Following a specific plan of care designed by the RN or care manager.
- Using assistive devices, such as walkers or wheelchairs, as directed.
Training is only 40 hours and will give you the ability to work as a PCA after successful completion of training. Work is available after training is completed. Contact Parent Care to start planning your future career today!
